The beautiful 16th century house, located in Via dell'Orto, is the birthplace of the famous poet Francesco Petrarca. Petrarch was born in Arezzo on 20 July 1304. Currently the house of Petrarch is the seat of the Petrarch Academy of Arts and Sciences, equipped with a well-stocked library.

Is the oldest square in the city and one of the most beautiful in Italy. Although the buildings that surround it are from different eras, the square boasts incredible harmony. To the south and east there are medieval buildings (Palazzo Tofani, Torre dei Làppoli), to the north there is a sixteenth-century palace with Vasari loggia, to the west the parish church of Santa Maria, the palace of the Court and the fifteenth-century palace of the Fraternity of the Laity. Piazza Grande, made famous all over the world also by the film "Life is beautiful" by Roberto Beningni is, twice a year, the setting of the traditional "Giostra del Saracino". Every first Sunday of the month and the previous Saturday, the Antiquarian Fair takes place here too

Built between the XIV and the XV century., rises in via dei Pileati. It is characterized by the facade covered with coats of arms of the Florentine Podestà and Commissioners who ruled the city. Today it is home to the library of Arezzo.

Between Via Crispi and Via Margaritone. It was built in the first century. d.c. with sandstone and bricks and contained about 8,000 people, but only a few ruins remain today. On a part of the Amphitheater was built a convent of the Olivetans, now Archaeological Museum founded in 1822 by the Fraternity of Laity.
